DIY lampshade

Have you seen the bohemian and much funky lampshades from Piet Hein Eek? I'm actually thinking of making a lamp myself in a silken cloth. It's easy and quick to do, all it takes is a structure, eg from an old lampshade, a beautiful piece of fabric in thin materials such as silk, and preferably a sewing machine. Peace of cake!

Rasberry

I've just showered after my morning jog, and therefore rewarded with a tasty raspberry smoothie. Yum. Now it is time to prepare today's meetings – and evening events. Have a enjoyable weekend! ♥

Savon de Marseille

Talking about garden. Today, when I walked by NK, Nordiska Kompaniet, to buy the excellent soap "Savon de Marseille" I took the opportunity to look around after this spring's news on the interior floor. I happen to be looking for rugged cushions for my balcony, which I feel can be a bit difficult to come by... But luck was with me today because I managed to find the most stylish cushions in a strong and resistant canvas at Newport. The lighter version will be perfect for my balcony chair.

The soap Savon de Marseille that I bought in my favorite scent Verveine smells super fresh and clean.

Garden trends

Spring is finally getting closer. This weekend I planted my first Tomato seeds and prepared (cleaned) the balcony – and this morning I visited a press breakfast arranged by the garden chain Plantagen. Jan Rundgren, creative director for Plantagen, talked about the upcoming garden trends for spring 2011 – Modern, Natural and Romantic are hot themes, as decorating in "Raw Nature" and with the color gray in all shades.
My favorites are all kind of grass, it is so simple but yet so beautiful when put together. If you choose the right species they are really easy to manage as well, says Jan. Well, in that case, I know what to pick for my balcony this season...

On my wish list right now is this luxury throw from Missonis 2011 collection. This tartan twill blanket is super soft to touch and made from 100% wool. New from the 2011 collection is also all the pillows on the picture below that comes in a mix of beautiful colors and patterns.

Someone, send me a copy - please! Lotta Lundgren's successful blog "Om jag har var din hemmafru" has become a book with the same name – and it is not any book, it might have this year's most stylish book design... and it also have recipes of "Food that make a Thursday to taste like a Saturday", as Lotta says herself. Gunilla Allard is one of Sweden's most renowned furniture designers. She began collaborating with Lammhults 1988 and has since designed several of their most famous furnishings.

Honeysuckle

As you all know by now is Honeysuckle Pantone's color this year, 2011. It is a bold color that really makes a statement. How the color is best used in home interiors is shown by Fritz Hansen, used on Arne Jacobsens Ant-chairs as an accent color in a white room, or as well as painted on the corridor walls for a vibrant impression as in Philipe Stubis L-house - and, of course, displayed as Elsa Schiaparelli, famous for her shock-pink color, would have done futuristic and with patterns... The luxurious jacquard velvet cushions are from Osborne and Little.
